Jeta Mulaj is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
Previously, she was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at Grinnell College. She received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from DePaul University. She specializes in feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, critical theory, Marxism, and decolonial thought. Particularly, she works on questions related to stability, capitalism, emancipation, revolution, gender and sexuality, as well as Eastern European thought and the Balkans. She is the co-founder and executive director of the Balkan Society for Theory and Practice, an international research society based in Kosova, and a research associate for the Society for Women of Ideas.
